Pictures from the Wedding

Okay, so I don't love my cheesiness in this photo, but I have to prove I actually did this wedding, right? Haha.

Also, you should know that all these photos were taken by Liz Draper Photography. If you are interested in her work, click on this link. Liz Draper Photography Enjoy!

www.keddingtonweddings.com

This last week I had the opportunity execute my first hired wedding. I've been wanting to become a real wedding planner for a few years now; and I've had opportunities to provide my services and strengthen my skills, but it was always as a gift to my friends. This time it was different. Although my best friend is sister to the bride, the family was generous enough to "hire" me to make this wedding spectacular!

Right before my first wedding a couple years ago, the mother-of-the-bride thanked me for helping plan everything. She said to me, "thank you so much for helping with Katy's wedding. This has given me the opportunity to do what I really wanted to do for my daughter and not to worry about all the details." This comment has stuck with me and has been the greatest driving force for me to begin my own wedding business. This most recent wedding supported this same idea. The mother-of-the-bride was so pleased that she didn't have to worry about any of the details the day of the wedding! This is why I do what I do. I love weddings, they are my passion!

Check out my website, www.keddingtonweddings.com. If you know of anyone interested in hiring a planner who can give them advice (but not take over the joy of planning their own wedding) and to be there on the wedding day to make sure every detail goes perfectly, then give them my contact information. I will have pictures from this last wedding shortly. As soon as I get them, I will put them up! Happy weddings!

Manly Enough?

Tonight as I was flipping though some pictures that friends posted on Facebook, I came across this one. I laughed hard enough that I knew I needed to share with all of you! The caption says it all...

"This knife will compensate for anything you've ever done in your life that wasn't manly enough" -Austin H.

700 East Reopened!

A little while back, I mentioned that I was so sick of road construction. Well, the greatly anticipated reopening of the 700 East exit on westbount I-80 is open! Honestly, it cut a full 5 minutes off my commute this morning. I am feeling good!

No more orange sign saying "CLOSED"! Yipee!

Events Management Reunion

8-8-08, A huge day for weddings!

Included in this lucky day of weddings was the wedding of my friend Lisa to her now-husband, Wes. I went down to Provo for the wedding reception and was welcomed into the arms of my dear friends from Events Management. Being part of the Events Management Team (aka EMT) honestly changed my life and career, and these friends will be friends forever. It was like we'd never been apart, and was such a joy to spend a few hours catching up.

I hope we get to see each other again before another year passes.
