Long Awaited

After 6 months, I finally got pictures back from my cousin's wedding in July that I was blessed to be able to plan. I got Liz Draper Photography to come for the reception in the Keddington backyard, and for an incredible deal...the perks to having a photographer for a best friend! :)

So bring on the pics!

And of course, me in all my craziness right before photos with the wedding party. I had been decorating all afternoon and had about 3 minutes to change into my bridesmaid attire. So here I am running for pictures while still doing the finishing touches...

Pictures from the Wedding

Okay, so I don't love my cheesiness in this photo, but I have to prove I actually did this wedding, right? Haha.

Also, you should know that all these photos were taken by Liz Draper Photography. If you are interested in her work, click on this link. Liz Draper Photography Enjoy!

This last week I had the opportunity execute my first hired wedding. I've been wanting to become a real wedding planner for a few years now; and I've had opportunities to provide my services and strengthen my skills, but it was always as a gift to my friends. This time it was different. Although my best friend is sister to the bride, the family was generous enough to "hire" me to make this wedding spectacular!

Right before my first wedding a couple years ago, the mother-of-the-bride thanked me for helping plan everything. She said to me, "thank you so much for helping with Katy's wedding. This has given me the opportunity to do what I really wanted to do for my daughter and not to worry about all the details." This comment has stuck with me and has been the greatest driving force for me to begin my own wedding business. This most recent wedding supported this same idea. The mother-of-the-bride was so pleased that she didn't have to worry about any of the details the day of the wedding! This is why I do what I do. I love weddings, they are my passion!

Check out my website, www.keddingtonweddings.com. If you know of anyone interested in hiring a planner who can give them advice (but not take over the joy of planning their own wedding) and to be there on the wedding day to make sure every detail goes perfectly, then give them my contact information. I will have pictures from this last wedding shortly. As soon as I get them, I will put them up! Happy weddings!

Vanessa and Eli

One of my dear friends from my childhood got married last night. It was a beautiful ceremony and dinner; and the location, Millcreek Inn, was perfect! It was so much fun to see old friends again and get to hang out with them for the evening.

I was a little stressed about it this week because my date for the wedding cancelled on me 2 days before the wedding! How was I going to find a guy to go with me who would be able to get off work early enough to get to the wedding on time--and be able to dance?!?! Well, Bryce stepped in and was the best date I could have had! Such a gentleman, and a pretty good dancer too...he was actually teaching me some things!

Well, here are some pics from the wedding. Note: my camera battery was nearly dead so I have limited pictures. They're good enough that they will suffice though.
