I did it! I finished the Ragnar Wasatch Back Relay! 188 miles. 12 runners. 2 vans. 30 hours. Very little sleep (try about 4 in 2 days). But now I'm home, showered and I had a 5 hour nap. I'm doing awesome!
Here are a few pictures for your enjoyment. I'll get more soon, like when we crossed the finish line as a team, but for now these are all that I have on my own camera.
Van 1 Runners - Will, Keith, Jordan, Rachel, Emily, Mary
Mary is ready for her first run. Starting our team out at 6:15am in Logan, UT. It was freezing cold outside!
3 - 2 - 1 RUN!!!
Keith is running his first leg, 7.4 miles up to Avon Pass. It was super dusty with all the support vehicles driving next to them, but he still managed to pass roughly 30 runners on his way up. Didn't get passed once during any of his runs. Wow!
The terrain was beautiful!
After our van finished our last round of runs this morning around 7:30am, we drove the rest of the route to see what our teammates in van 2 were going to run. This is at the top of Guardsman Pass, aka Ragnar Hill. Ragnar Hill has the toughest and steepest runs of the entire relay which take you to the top. It was gorgeous up there!
Team #595 "The Runs"
Cleaning out the van after all was said and done.
There might have been a small water fight too. True to Keddington form!
