Whirlwind

Where did the summer go????

It feels like just yesterday that the sun was beginning to shine.  And now its fall.  I'm starting to take light jackets with me to school.  And when I wake up in the mornings at 6:30am, its dark and a measly 50-something degrees.

Summer came and left again so quickly that I am amazed I found the time to do anything!  But true to the way I want to live, I managed a few exciting things.

Here's what I loved about my summer.

* running Ragnar Wasatch Back with 11 amazing people: Team "Risky Business"
* going to the Oakley Rodeo with my cousins

* Stadium of Fire - the military flyover, the crowd, the patriotism, the music, the skydivers, the fireworks.  LOVE.

* Hanging out with family on the 4th of July (my favorite holiday ever)

*Taking my CNA course.  Maybe it wasn't a major highlight, but it was a great start to my future nursing career.  It took 3 weeks out of my July - 4 hours a day, 5 days a week and 2 8-hour clinical shifts.  And ya know what?  I still want to go into nursing!

*Skydiving!  Best "IQ Demands It" experience yet! (See post below)

*Bear Lake with my old Holladay 30th Ward (now the Holladay 3rd YSA Ward).  No pics, sorry.

*2nd Annual R.S. Keddington Family Reunion in Eden, UT
-including: "Minute to Win It", Lagoon, and other great stuff (I missed the first day because I was in Bear Lake as previously mentioned.  But my fam had fun then, even without the COOLEST AUNT EVER!) :)

Robert Keddington Family Reunion - Yr 1

For the first time in history, we had an official Robert Keddington family reunion.

We headed down to Zions National Park and stayed at the Cable Mountain Lodge.  It was a beautiful lodge and it had a great pool!
We arrived on Thursday evening, and hung out for a while.  The next morning some of us hiked Angel's Landing.  At the same time, some of the parents and Grandma and Grandpa took the kiddos on a smaller hike. After we returned and ate lunch, it was pool time!

The next day we battled the rain as it came and went.  After packing up we drove home and stopped in Kolob Canyon for lunch.
I didn't take too many pictures, which I always regret.  But, I did get some good ones when we stopped.

Reunion Recap

Last week, we had my entire immediate family in town for a family reunion... good timing with my mom's condition, right? Anyway, we did a lot of fun things together for three days. Monday we went to Snowbird and had fun doing a small hike, alpine slide, zip line, and just being together.Zip line

The twins couldn't stay awake for anything!

Oh, those poor grandchildren were having such a hard time!

Tuesday we headed up to Echo Resevoir for a day of boating. Wow, its been 5 years since I wakeboarded last, and it was totally obvious! I don't remember having so many rough falls in one day before. This was their first time on a boat

Again, its been 5 years. I know I look way too concentrated.

Wednesday we went to the pool, but I was so tired that I fell asleep before we left, and woke up about the time everyone came back. Oh well, I guess I didn't need to be more sunburned than I already was from boating the day before. Thankfully, I was careful about burning and it all tanned over in a couple days and never peeled! I love when that happens!

Well, after 3 wonderful days of relaxation, it was back to work, blah!
